This Privacy Policy describes how Proofline ("Proofline," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit proofline.tech (the "Site") or submit information through it. It applies to the Site and to the work-alert text messages described in Section 5. Other use of the Proofline platform by customers is governed by the applicable customer agreement.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. If you submit the walk-through request form or email us, we collect the information you choose to share, such as your name, work email address, and the details of your request.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information about your device and how you use the Site, including your IP address, approximate location (city or region level), browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked, scroll activity, referring pages, and the dates and times of visits. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries and schedule requested walk-throughs, to operate, maintain, and improve the Site, to understand how visitors use the Site, to communicate with you about Proofline where you have requested it, and to protect the security and integrity of the Site.

3. Service Providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the Site and support our business, including providers of website hosting and infrastructure, website analytics, and customer relationship management. These providers process information only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services to us, and they are bound by their own privacy terms. We do not authorize them to use your information for their own purposes.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes. We share information only with the service providers listed above, when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Proofline or others, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to previously collected information.

5. Text Messages (SMS)

Proofline sends work-alert text messages to maintenance staff at properties that use Proofline, for example when a repair, cleaning, or inspection task is assigned to them or sent back for rework. A property manager adds a staff member's mobile number only after that person agrees to receive these texts, and no work alerts are sent until the person confirms by replying YES to our first message.

If you receive these texts, we collect your mobile number, your preferred language, and a record of your consent and any opt-out, and we use them only to send you work alerts and to respond to your requests. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also email info@proofline.tech.

Proofline is a product of UNITWISE LLC, the registered sender of these messages. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We also do not rent or share mobile numbers or text-message consent records with affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are handled only by the service providers that host Proofline and deliver the messages on our behalf, such as Twilio, and only to provide this service.

6. Cookies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies set by the analytics services described above to distinguish visitors and understand Site usage. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. The Site remains fully functional if you do so.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Form submissions are retained while we have an active business reason to keep them, and analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the services listed above.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email info@proofline.tech. We will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be posted on this page.
